Hold on to something tight because things will be speeding up for fans of The Flash on The CW. We know of two speedsters so far in the form of the Flash and Eobard Thawne. Season two will also see Flashes Wally West and Jay Garrick. Now get ready for a fifth. Fans of the comic book series should be familiar with this character. Repeat after me, “3×2(9yz)4a.”
Everyone, say hello to Jesse Chambers. Although, some of you may know her better as Jesse Quick. For those of you who don’t know, Jesse Quick is a speedster who learns how to draw power from the Speedforce by reciting the formula, “3×2(9yz)4a.” According to reports, though, it is unclear if her father will be Johnny Quick and if she’ll have learned the formula from him like she did in the comics.
Keeping her origin story true to the comics would make complete sense. Johnny Quick comes from Earth-2, and, if you remember the end of season one, the door to the Multiverse was opened thus leading the way to numerous possibilities as to who we may encounter.
Jesse Chambers will be played by the actress Violett Beane. According to the official description, the TV version of Jesse Quick is “a brilliant but quirky college student who gets caught up in the battle between The Flash and Zoom.”. There is no word as which episode she will make her debut in.
The second season of The Flash premieres Oct. 6.
