There’s not much that Steven Yeun hasn’t been through in his role of Glen on The Walking Dead, but while talking to Entertainment Weekly, he assured us that there’s much more coming in Season 6. We’ve seen Rick Grimes’ group undergo beatings, brutality, killings and threats, all of which have taken their mental and physical toll. Here’s what Yeun had to say about Season 6, and the emotional turn the show will be taking:
“It’s easy to use the buzzwords — to say ‘roller coaster’ or ‘intense.’ I think last year was a very good indicator of where we’re headed. We’re seeing everybody as who they are now. You’ve found them grizzled. You’ve found them completely broken and shattered and they’ve all witnessed and experienced terrible things. And so you get to see them there. We wear it on our face. We wear it on our body. To see where we’ve evolved to is awesome. So [season] 6 is that, is showing how much has been taken away from us. The end goal is to find some semblance of life that we lost before. I think you’re going to see some deeply emotional character story and you’re also going to see, as we always do, some crazy-ass s—.”
Catch the Season 6 premier of The Walking Dead on Sunday, October 11th 9 PM ET on AMC.
