American Horror Story has never been a show to shirk away from creepiness, so it should come as no surprise that the three new American Horror Story: Hotel teasers released by FX are full of just that. And with the addition of Lady Gaga to the cast, of course the creepiness factor was bound to be kicked up a notch (or five).
The three teasers all have names: “Towhead”, “Sleepwalk”, and “Jeepers Peepers”, and they all feature a really eerie rendition of Elvis’ Heartbreak Hotel being played in the background. “Towhead” follows what looks like a group of blond zombie children walking single-file down a staircase, then surveys the ghoulish looking group standing on the bottom landing, before they rush back up the stairs, super-speed, towards the camera. “Sleepwalk” features a person that seems to be sewn inside a mattress, standing in the hotel hallway. “Jeepers Peepers” starts with knocking on the door of room number 64, and as we look into the peephole, we get a glimpse of a seriously spooky looking eye.
American Horror Story is also known for switching up their cast each season, and this time they’ve got a jam-packed roster, including Lady Gaga, Sarah Paulson, Kathy Bates, Angela Bassett, Wes Bentley, Matt Bomer, Chloë Sevigny, Denis O’Hare, Cheyenne Jackson, Evan Peters and Finn Wittrock. Ryan Murphy oversees as Co-Creator, Showrunner, Executive Producer, Writer and Director, and Brad Falchuk serves as Co-Creator, Executive Producer and Writer. Tim Minear, Brad Buecker, Jennifer Salt, James Wong and Alexis Martin Woodall all serve as Executive Producers, and Twentieth Century Fox Television produces the franchise.
American Horror Story: Hotel is the fifth incarnation of the Emmy and Golden Globe winning series, and will air 13 episodes; the first of which will premier October 7th on FX.
