For many movie fans, especially when it comes to comic book movies, part of the fun in watching the films is searching for those Easter Eggs that are generally sprinkled from beginning to end. For the uninitiated, “Easter Eggs” refer to the hidden winks that movie makers put into movies as a way of tipping their hat to quick-eyed viewers.

Now when it comes to James Gunn‘s Guardians of The Galaxy – which has been out of theaters and in hands of home owners for a while now – all its Easter Eggs have all been revealed onto the net and beyond… or have they?

In response to a fan question about Guardians of the Galaxy Easter Eggs, Gunn says that one of them — maybe the biggest one — still hasn’t been found.

Gunn was asked on Facebook if all the Guardians easter eggs have been found. To which he gave this fan maddening response:

They have not all been found. No one has found the big one, really. Maybe once someone came close.

You’ll have noticed he omitted saying anything at all as to what that Easter Egg might be. That cheeky bastard!

In case you haven’t seen it already, Mr. Sunday Movies has put together a very comprehensive (and
spoiler heavy) video, detailing each of the Easter Eggs in Marvel’s sci-fi adventure.

Given that keen eyed viewers like Mr Sunday and sites like ours have seemingly spotted every reference as possible, its a curious how anyone could have missed anything as big as what Gunn is alluding to. Big enough to not have it reported, that is.

If Gunn is toying with fans as a means to get them to watch his movie again and get the internet in a fury… then he has succeeded. Though, that would be unlike Gunn, who has always been forth coming and transparent with fans.

Seems like everyone will just have to speculate and hit up Gunn’s twitter page like crazy, until he confirms on just what this “big one” actually is.

Hopefully we’ll get an answer soon. At-least,  before Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 arrives on May 5, 2017.

Anyone have any guess?
