Another big cameo has just been announced by Ghostbusters director Paul Feig. He decided to go ahead and announce Sigourney Weaver‘s cameo to beat the “leakers” to the punch. While Feig has said that he regrets these cameos being leaked and would rather have them be surprises for Ghostbuster fans, apparently he’s tired of the leaks and wanted to beat them at their own game.
I only announced @Ernie_Hudson as a cameo because our set was overrun by paparazzi. I really wanted these cameos to be surprises. Just FYI.

Weaver joins an already cameo heavy movie, with old cast mates form the original Ghostbusters film, Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson, and Annie Potts, who all have confirmed cameos.
Gang, trying to keep surprises but this is about to leak, so I’ll tell you myself: the awesome Sigourney Weaver is going to be in our movie! — Paul Feig (@paulfeig) September 25, 2015
That’s the whole gang, and although it hasn’t been announced, it wouldn’t surprise me to find out that director Ivan Reitman was slipped in for a crowd scene cameo as well.
The only character that is left is Louis Tully played by Rick Moranis. Moranis left Hollywood after the tragic death of his wife to raise their kids out of the spotlight and give them a normal childhood. You can see in the reunion picture above that Moranis didn’t attend, but could this be the movie that brings him back to Hollywood? 2017 would mark the 20th year since Moranis last appeared onscreen in Honey We Shrunk Ourselves. He has done some voice work in animated movies, but we’d sure like to see him come back now.
