With every new superhero sequel, there is one thing you can always expect… the heroes will always be sportin’ brand new spanking costumes. New movie means new duds, that’s just the way it is! I mean, how else do you expect toy companies to make any money if they don’t have new character designs to market from, eh?

In the case of Captain America: Civil War, all the Avengers you know and love will surely be rockn’ new gear. All those Marvel standalone movies, their subsequent sequels, and Avengers flicks have all seen new costumes in each iteration. Why would Civil War be any different?

There’s been a multitude of set photos, videos, leaked footage and what not that has come from the Civil War production giving fans a glimpse of what new looks returning characters will have. Now some BRAND NEW leaked concept/promo art reveals an even better look at some of the updated costumes.

Head on past the page break for shots of: Captain America, Iron Man, The Winter Solider, Black Widow, Hawkeye, Ant-Man, and Black Panther.

Giving these art pieces a quick once over, they really just look like refined versions of prior costumes – nothing too radically different. Black Widow has Farah Faucet hair – Iron Man has some LED lights – AntMan a slicker helmet – and so on. All-in-all, they’re looking pretty solid. Even new comer to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Black Panther, is looking pretty tight.

It’s still amazing how the costume design department for Marvel manages to pull off believable, functional, modern costumes that clearly resonate with the source material.

Captain America: Civil War plot picks up where Avengers: Age of Ultron left off, as Steve Rogers leads the new team of Avengers in their continued efforts to safeguard humanity. After another international incident involving the Avengers results in collateral damage, political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability and a governing body to determine when to enlist the services of the team. The new status quo fractures the Avengers while they try to protect the world from a new and nefarious villain.

Starring Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, Paul Bettany, Jeremy Renner, Don Cheadle, Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Rudd, Chadwick Boseman, Emily VanCamp, Daniel Brühl, Frank Grillo, William Hurt, and Martin Freeman, Captain America: Civil Waris set to be released on May 6th, 2016.
