Agent Carter is moving to LaLa Land for season two and bringing a slew of new characters to the series, Jarvis gets an onscreen wife, Peggy gets a possible love interest along with a deadly new villain Madame Masque. Who’s playing what, where, when, and how?
First up is Madame Masque, an old Iron man villain that will work well in the Agent Carter universe. Wynn Everett (The Newsroom), has been cast to wear the golden mask as Whitney Frost a.k.a. Madame Masque. Agent Carter Executive Producers Tara Butters, Michele Fazekas & Chris Dingess say something about each new cast member:
Whitney Frost is a character with a storied history in the Marvel comics, and we’re excited to get the opportunity to introduce her to fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Inspired by Hollywood icons like Hedy Lamarr and Lauren Bacall, we knew we needed an actor who was classically glamorous and fiercely intelligent. Wynn is both, and we’re thrilled to watch her bring this formidable character to life.
Currie Graham (Murder in the First) is set to play Frost’s husband, the high-powered businessman Calvin Chadwick.
We knew we needed an actor versatile enough to go head-to-head with both Hayley and Wynn, and Currie Graham is one of those actors who can truly do anything. He brings a grounded, human quality to Calvin Chadwick, a complex character who lives at the center of Season 2’s intrigue.
Lotte Verbeck (Outlander) will play Ana Jarvis, wife of Edwin Jarvis.
For a character fans love as much as Jarvis, we had to find him a partner who would be equally beloved. Lotte brings ease, sincerity and warmth to the role that’s just perfect.
Last up is Reggie Austin (Devious Maids) who will play Jason Wilkes, a scientist that may become Agent Carter’s new love interest.
We were impressed by Reggie as soon as we met with him. He has a unique ability to be handsome and charming while also being extremely accessible. We knew he could portray a character whom both audiences and Peggy would love.
We’ve already known that Dominic Cooper who plays Howard Stark and Bridget Regan who plays the Russian Spy Dottie Underwood are coming back so there’s a lot to look forward to in season two when it hits television screen in early 2016.
