New York Comic Con is just the place to be right now. Fans attending the convention this weekend were lucky enough to get a cool glimpse of the upcoming second season for Daredevil. The preview comes after a season one sizzle reel, and if you blink too fast, you may not get to see two characters that fans will not want to miss – The Punisher (Jon Bernthal) and Elektra (Elodie Yung).
Thanks to a member of the audience, footage of the promo was posted online. So, if you want to see it, better watch it now before it gets taken offline. Luckily you don’t have to go far to see it. Check it out down below:
In the event the you had trouble seeing the clip here are a few still shots of the audience taken footage. Hopefully, official version of this clip and other photos will posted online so we can clearly see what’s going on, but for now these will have to do. The first shot is of Elektra.
This is a pretty cool shot. As you can see, we get to see her as she puts on her mask. Just look at those eyes. No action is needed, you can tell just by looking at them that’s she’s a killer. If the Daredevil fight scenes are any indication, then the flight scenes featuring Elektra should be anything short of vicious, not to mention very entertaining. Up next is a quick shot of The Punisher and an image with a familiar looking symbol.
Now this isn’t the best shot we’ve seen of Bernthal as the man in black, but for the first time we get to hear him speak. And, not to anyone’s surprise, the first and only word out of his mouth is a cold sounding “Beg.” Now who could he be saying that to? Could he be saying it to some lonely criminal who deserves what he or she has coming to them? Or could he be saying it to a banged up Daredevil? Whatever happens, the second season is on everyone’s must watch list. Admittedly, Thomas Jane portrayed a pretty good Frank Castle, but if Bernthal resonates anything similar to his character in The Walking Dead, then we may be in for a pretty gritty and brutal depiction.
Daredevil season two is set to premiere sometime in 2016 on Netflix.
