Hold on to your helmets Star Wars fans, you’re in for a bit of interesting hear-say! According to some early reports, on Monday, October 19th you’ll be able to watch the new Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer and pre-order your tickets for December 18th. If true, this trailer will be the first glimpse of new film footage since a 15 second Instagram video in August. What’s more, it’s also rumored to be the last trailer, debuting online on October 19th before hitting theaters November 6th with Spectre.
Cinemark posted an official graphic to one of the international markets yesterday announcing the pre-sale, but quickly pulled the post afterwards. It read:
“In the next Monday begins the pre-sale of Star Wars: The Force Awakens at #Cinemark! Run before the Stormtroopers end up with all the tickets.”
Multiple chain theaters have reported that Star Wars tickets will go on sale the same day, though times haven’t been discussed. Users on TheForce.net have reported that AMC Theaters managers in the US and Canada have briefed their staff on the October 19th pre-sale date.
An official announcement about the trailer debut and ticket pre-sale from Lucasfilm and Disney is expected to happen sometime prior to October 19th, but the dates are unclear as both Friday and Saturday have been heard.
So keep your eyes peeled and your ears open, because something is a-brewin’! Reportedly, of course.
