If you’ve never seen them before, the Honest Trailer is a series that takes movies and creates about three minute clips that makes fun of the movie. Some great examples of trailers they’ve made in the past are Jurassic World, World War Z, and The Happening. In the case of Back To The Future II, there isn’t much to make fun of. Instead, they’ve taken the entire trilogy and made fun of the fact that some of the content repeats itself a little too much. Check out the clip below.
“Featuring the one where they travel to the past, beat up the bully, fix the future, and set up the sequel, the one where they travel to the past, beat up the bully, fix the future, and set up the sequel, and the one where they travel to the past, beat up the bully, fix the future, and leave open the possibility for a sequel.”
Another really funny point they poke fun of is how the movie uses the cast to play their own relatives in the different eras. Did you know that Michael J. Fox played his own daughter in the future? Of course you did, but in case you didn’t know [SPOILER ALERT]. The way the Honest Trailer points this out is probably the best description,
“Journey to Hill Valley, a place where the gene pool is so shallow that everyone’s ancestor looks exactly the same as their descendants.”
