Let’s be honest, there’s a lot that’s suspect about Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice. It looks too dark! Gal Gadot is too skinny to be Wonder Woman! Jesse Eisenberg‘s Lex Luther looks stupid! Batffleck! Our Corey Jefferson outlined his own concerns about the new trailer in a piece yesterday, and it won’t be the last time someone looks at Dawn of Justice with suspicious eyes before its March release. Somewhat lower on that list of worries is Aquaman. Jason Momoa‘s character will likely be more of a cameo, so people aren’t sweating it too hard what work will be done on the character, but does this look at the Aquaman figure suggest that, in this one instance, Dawn of Justice is going more “traditional.”

At the Brazilian CCXP, Brazil’s largest comic con in São Paulo, a Twitter user snapped a picture of a display featuring toys from Dawn of Justice. So we’ve got Batman in his Dark Knight armor, Wonder Woman, Superman in his… Super Armor(?), Batman on his Bat-ATV, and, yup, there he is.

The figure pictured above looks like some kind of amalgam between the Momoa created Aquaman and the version from the comic books in the 90s. The hairdo on the figure looks kind of messed up though – talk about helmet head – but sometimes there’s only so much that plastic can do.

The real question is though, are we looking at an accurate representation of what Aquaman will look like in the film? The bleached out coloring in the photo at the top of this article doesn’t show much, so it could be. On the other hand, artistic license is sometimes taken with these figures. But I think it the more likely that we’re looking at the actual Aquaman as he will appear in the film, especially where he sits above next to the Batman and Wonder Woman figures. I’ll never get the whole Superman armor thing. Superman figures have had armor for years, but why does he need it? He’s already the Man of Steel! Anyhoo…

Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice is in theaters everywhere March 25, 2016.
