With Phase 2 officially concluded with the release of Ant-Man, which is out on DVD and Blu-ray today, all eyes will now turn with eager expectation to the films of Marvel Studios‘ Phase 3. Yes, we’ve already seen a lot about Captain America: Civil War, but after that, it’s time for something Strange. As in, Doctor Strange. The film has just begun principal photography in Asia, and with an impressive, star-studded and awards-friendly cast, many are looking to Strange as the next Iron Man in terms of setting a tone for Marvel in the years to come. But what will Benedict Cumberbatch look like as Strange himself? Is this a hint?

This piece of art is included in a behind-the-scenes video that is part of the release of the complete Phase 2 box set, which is also available on DVD and Blu-ray starting today. Gotta say, I’m digging the old school Strange look: big red cape, red collar, blue tunic. We, of course, can’t say with 100 per cent certainty that this is what Cumberbatch will look like when Strange hits theaters next year, but it would be great if the movie Strange tipped the proverbial hat to the classic Strange.

The below video was released a wee bit early to USA Today. Featuring director Scott Derrickson and producer Kevin Feige, the pair talk about what to expect from both Strange, and Cumberbatch.

As to what to the film itself will be like tonally, it’s one of those projects that’s long been in development at various studios, thanks to the character’s insane-o magical reality with strange people with strange powers from even stranger dimensions. So what will the Strange movie look like? It will be “a mind-trip action film,” says Derrickson. “How do you put that on a screen within this cinematic universe? That is one of the primary goals of that movie,” added Feige.

Also according to Feige, Cumberbatch is doing a heck of a job as the titular character. “Benedict has got an incredibly complicated emotional structure going on,” he added.

Shall we roll the video?

Doctor Strange arrives in theaters on November 4, 2016.
