Carrie Fisher‘s daughter, Billie Lourd will be making an appearance in J.J. AbramsStar Wars: The Force Awakens and now we know that she will be rocking that classic Princess Leia hairdo from the original Star Wars: A New Hope. Wanna see what that looks like? Click on through then.billie-lourd-scream-queens

You might recognize her from her role as Chanel #3 in Scream Queens pictured above. It’s kind of interesting that her Scream Queen character wears ear muffs all the time… kind of like the Leia Buns. While we do know that Lourd is not playing Princess Leia’s daughter on screen, she might be sharing some screen time with her. Let’s take a look at that classic hairstyle brought back for the new J.J. Abrams’ era.

Even better, and more telling is this on set picture:

That looks like she is working around the command and control center that we might expect Princess… I mean… General Leia would be in charge of. Abrams has to have the pair on screen at the same time.. it only makes sense and would be a nice nod to the past and the future.

Lourd talked about her love of Star Wars growing up and how watching her mother on screen taught her about confidence and living life.

I made [my mom] watch it at least once a week – and on special occasions I would make her get in a lightsaber fight with me. Let’s just say the more trained Jedi usually won.

When I saw the [original] movie for the first time, I noticed my mom was not only equally as confident and strong as the men, she was one of the most confident characters in the entire film. It made me realize women are just as powerful as men and that we can truly do anything they can – if not more!

This is just another small thing that J.J. is doing to make Star Wars: The Force Awakens have just the right amount of nostalgia and nods to the past while reshaping it for the future.

Lourd’s character isn’t named yet, or at least hasn’t been released anywhere I could find it. Could her character be back for more in future films?
