jewel staite firefly
Many know her as the amazing Kaylee Frye from Firefly. Others know her as Dr. Jennifer Keller from Stargate Atlantis. But the real fans remember her as Becca Fisher from Flash Forward. And now sci-fi fans can watch one of their favotire actresses, Jewel Staite, guest star on the new CW show Legends of Tomorrow. However, you’ll have to wait a little bit to see her because she won’t be making her appearance until the show’s tenth episode.

According to the report, Staite will be playing a character by the name of Rachel Turner, and she’s been described as “a tech genius/roboticist who exists in a future in which technology has an even firmer grip on our lives than it does today.” The report continues to describe her character as,

“A descendant of a long line of inventors — one of whom turns out to be someone from the DC Universe! — Rachel believes that her creations can make that world a better place. Alas, what the brilliant beauty cannot foresee is that her work is destined to fall into the hands of immortal baddie Vandal Savage, who will use it to take over the world. Unless Rachel can team up with the Legends to stop him.”

A quick bit of research doesn’t reveal much as far as a “Rachel Turner” is involved. But then again, her character is set far in the future and is a distant relative of someone famous. That means it could be anyone. She could end up being Ray Palmer’s great, great, granddaughter. Hopefully they spill the beans on who she is and doesn’t shroud it in secrecy. Especially since she’s only set to guest star on the show. Which also means that she may only be appearing in that one episode.

Legends of Tomorrow premieres on The CW Jan. 21, 2016.
