Ahoy! Another Speedster is Racing onto ‘The Flash’

In the beginning, there was The Flash. Then came the Reverse Flash, and then he was killed, and then he came back again. We’ve since been introduced to Jay Gerrick, the Flash from Earth-2; Zoom, the evil speedster from Earth-2; Jesse Quick, the daughter of Harrison Wells from Earth-2 who in the comic books becomes a speedster; and finally Wally West, son of Joe West and brother of Iris West who in the comic books becomes Kid Flash. If that’s not enough speed for you, The Flash is throwing one more speedster into the mix with Trajectory. Never heard of her? That’s okay, her tenure maybe, ahem, short-lived.

Allison Paige, who may be best known for a stint on the soap opera Days of Our Lives, will play Eliza Harmon, aka Trajectory in the 16th episode of The Flash’s current season, according to TVLine.

“Having arrived in town intent on creating maximum chaos, Trajectory’s antics are misinterpreted as having been perpetrated by the Flash himself. Barry thus must quickly! uncover the mystery of who is the girl under the mask — as well as what is driving her mad desire for speed and destruction.”

In the comic books, Trajectory was part of Lex Luthor’s “Everyman” project in 52, where the villain tried to give super-powers to ordinary people to build his own super-team. When Luthor thought the project was a failure, he pulled the plug on it, which is a tidy euphemism for deactivating all the powers and killing the people with them. Hopefully, there’s a better fate for the TV Trajectory, but chances are she’s going to become food for Zoom, who is obsessed with taking Speed Force from all speedsters and augmenting his power. We shall see.

The Flash airs Tuesdays at 8 pm on the CW.
