If you’re a Deadpool fan living in the Big Apple then we’ve got a special treat to tell you about. If you don’t, like this Southern NerdBastard, then we’ve got a special treat to tease you about. Mike’s Harder Lemonade is sponsoring a Deadpool Beauty Pageant & early screening of Tim Miller‘s Deadpool. That’s right, not only can you strut your stuff down the runway, afterwards you can enjoy the superhero movie that is breaking all the rules a full four days before all your friends. Think of the torture you can inflict on those poor unfortunates that don’t get in.
Here’s the lowdown from Mike’s Harder Lemonade about the event:
Come dressed in your own Deadpool costume and get to watch the film before it opens in theaters!
10 fans dressed in the best Deadpool costumes will be given the chance to walk down the red carpet and VIP seating inside the theater.
No costume? That’s fine! Come on down to join the fun and a chance to watch the movie before it opens in theaters!
PLEASE NOTE. SERIOUSLY. READ THIS.
Admission is not guaranteed.
Final admission of ticketed guests will be made on a “first come, first served” basis.
Deadpool is rated “R” for “strong violence and language throughout, sexual content, and graphic nudity.” Anyone under 17 requires accompanying parent or adult guardian to attend this event and screening.
Prop weapons will not be allowed in the theater. Please do not bring them with you to the event. Please leave all prop weapons at home.
While you can have a mask as part of your outfit, security will ask that you take off your mask completely before entering the theater. Once inside the fan area, you’ll be able to put your mask back on.
It goes on to say that you don’t have to wear a costume, but those lucky ten will get primo-seats. It’s first come first served and folks can begin lining up:
Line in front of AMC Empire begins at 4:30 p.m. PT. on the day of the event.
Who knows, there might even be a surprise guest at the screening. Ryan Reynolds showed up for one a couple of weeks ago, and you can be sure that T.J. Miller won’t let Reynolds have all the fun. Come to think of it, isn’t Gotham shooting in New York now… could Morena Baccarin be in town? While any guest appearance is just NerdBastard’s speculating… it’s fun to think of the possibilities.
The only question now is do you go with Deadpool in the evening dress or the swimsuit… NerdBastards humble suggestion.. someone go as Steve Harvey announcing that Wolverine won…
