Iron-Fist-Netflix-HYDRA-

Word is making the Internet rounds that Marvel has found their Iron Fist lead in Game of Thrones star Finn Jones. Earlier this year Luke Cage lead Mike Colter teased:

The actor has been cast, but he’s in a basement somewhere. When the time is right, they’ll let him up and tell him where he is.

Now that Jones is cast, we can start to wonder when he’ll make his Marvel debut.finn-jones

The most sensible choice would be an appearance in the first season of Luke Cage, not as Cage’s partner or anything, but perhaps their first meeting. Scott Buck (Dexter) is in charge as Iron Fist’s showrunner. Iron Fist will be the fourth Netflix series joining Charlie Cox‘s Daredevil, Krysten Ritter‘s Jessica Jones, and Mike Colter‘s Luke Cage. The foursome is set to join forces in the cumulation of the Netflix series in The Defenders.

What can we expect to see in Iron Fist? Here’s the official series synopsis:

Returning to New York City after being missing for years, Daniel Rand fights against the criminal element corrupting New York City with his incredible kung-fu mastery and ability to summon the awesome power of the fiery Iron Fist.

One can easily imagine some flashbacks to Danny Rand’s past and how he became Iron Fist. You can be sure that those enemies in his past will make their appearances. The development of Heroes For Hire is also a story line that should be expected, but not for the first season. Considering that Iron Fist is the last to the party as it were, appearances by the other series stars should be part of the background story. Seeing Iron Fist and Daredevil stumble onto each other while trying to stop the same group and fighting each other until the realized they are on the same side is so comic book that it has to happen at least once in one of the four series as a nod to their comic book roots.

Which Iron Fist Villain are you most looking forward to? Steel Serpent would be a great story line to explore on the series.
