‘Game of Thrones’ Daughter Of The Viper Cast As A Daughter Of The Dragon In Netflix ‘Iron Fist’ Series
Netflix‘s IronFist has cast the second half of the Daughters of the Dragon. Simone Missick was cast as Misty Knight in the upcoming first season of Luke Cage and now Jessica Henwick (Game of Thrones) has been cast as Colleen Wing for the fourth Netflix Marvel series Iron Fist. That makes at least two actors from Game of Thrones in the series, Henwick and Finn Jones as the lead Danny Rand, could more be on the horizon?
Henwick also made an appearance in Star Wars: The Force Awakens as a Rebel X-Wing pilot.
Marvel confirmed the casting and included this image as a teaser for the character during the Iron Fist series:
Executive Producer and Showrunner, Scott Buck had this to say about the casting:
I’m very excited to have Jessica as our Colleen Wing. She’s shown us that she can bring both a sense of quiet strength as well as an engaging vulnerability to the character.
It looks like Colleen Wing has her own martial arts studio and that is where she meets Danny Rand when he returns to New York. We’re sure to spend some time there as she and others train, perhaps that is where the series will have the first meeting between Wing and Knight.
Marvel also provided a synopsis:
Iron Fist will open with billionaire Rand returning to New York City after being missing for years: “He fights against the criminal element corrupting New York City with his incredible kung-fu mastery and ability to summon the awesome power of the fiery Iron Fist.
Production begins this month and Iron Fist is set to hit Netflix in 2017.
