Nerd hero Benedict Cumberbatch has taken over the news lately, as well he should, and it appears his takeover is only just beginning. Teasers of Cumberbatch as the much anticipated Doctor Strange have been slowly appearing in recent weeks. An official trailer is finally on the horizon courtesy of Jimmy Kimmel Live.

Only a few short days ago the man himself popped up in a comic shop in full Strange regalia, today we have a brand spanking new promo photo (below), so of course an actual trailer couldn’t be far behind. Marvel fans having been champing at the bit to see how the leader in comic films fares with their first true fantasy film.

Jimmy Kimmel Live is fast becoming the place to be for Marvel fans, and cast members alike. This month will further prove that point. April 11 – 14 sees a host of Marvel characters sit down with Kimmel. Benedict Cumberbatch will be on the scene to promote Doctor Strange on April 12th with the first official trailer. Marvel’s fantasy epic has been hotly anticipated even with the little information we have on it. Hopefully the upcoming trailer will shed more light on Mads Mikkelsen’s villain, as well as give us a chance to the Doctor in full form.

Kimmel will host Clark Gregg of S.H.I.E.L.D. fame on the 12th with Cumberbatch. The cast of Captain America: Civil War will show up on two separate nights: April 11th featuring Team Cap – Chris Evans (Captain America), Paul Rudd (Ant-Man), Anthony Mackie (Falcon) and Sebastian Stan (Winter Soldier); April 13th brings out Team Iron Man – Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man), Don Cheadle (War Machine), Paul Bettany (Vision), Chadwick Boseman (Black Panther) and Emily Van Camp (Agent 13). Thor himself, Chris Hemsworth, will make an appearance on April 14th, but technically he’ll be there to promote his upcoming Huntsman film, maybe we’ll get a detail or two about Thor: Ragnarok though.

Captain America: Civil War hits theaters on May 6, 2016, Doctor Strange is due November 4th, and Thor: Ragnarok is expected to see release in November of 2017. Meanwhile Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. can be viewed on ABC Tuesday nights at 9/8c, or catch up on past episodes on Netflix.
