Patrick Stewart is nothing if not adventurous. If you haven’t been watching his new series Blunt Talk, you’ve missed Stewart at his goofy best, doing outrageous things and loving every minute of it. His latest bit of zaniness took him straight from the season two set of Blunt Talk to a screening in Los Angeles, in full drag along with costar Adrian Scarborough.
Stewart, ever the Social Media Savvy man that he is, tweeted this:

The event, Starz “Blunt Talk” Emmy for Your Consideration, found Stewart and Scarborough in pink satin and black velvet dresses, along with full makeup and platinum and strawberry blonde wigs. After the screening, the pair along with Jacki Weaver and show creator Jonathan Ames discussed the series with KCRW‘s Elvis Mitchell.
Why Walter Blunt and his daily partner in crime and manservant Walter Chandler are in full drag wasn’t disclosed, but from the series history, you can bet there’s a funny story behind everything.
Stewart’s latest film Green Room was just released last weekend and is sporting an 88%/86% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. It’s another fantastic example of the acting range that Stewart has. Take a look at this trailer.
Stewart’s character in Green Room is frightening, something we haven’t really seen from Stewart, he’s always the hero, the man to look up to. Blunt Talk is a fine example of Stewart’s comedic timing and skill, but Green Room will have you on the edge of your seat and afraid to see Stewart in a dark alleyway.
Is there anything this man can’t do? Stewart will be opposite Hugh Jackman in Wolverine 3, but will we see the Professor X we know and love, or perhaps a darker Professor X? If anyone can pull that off, it’s Sir Patrick Stewart.
