Over the last week the word leak has bounced around the internet concerning one particular franchise. Five days ago the title Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare leaked onto the PSN site and was stumbled upon by a curious player in the trending section of Playstation’s store. Not long after that, the release date and front cover was released into the world for the game. This all seemed very speculative until today when Activision and Infinity Ward quashed all rumours as they dropped the reveal trailer for Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare. What is even more exciting is that with the news, players also found out that those who purchase the Legacy Edition of the next Call of Duty game will also receive a remastered version of the globally adored Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare

As the name suggests, Infinite Warfare takes players a little further afield than they’re used to. Eric Hirshberg, who is the CEO of Activision said of the new game,

“Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare is a bold, new vision from the studio that created the original Call of Duty and Modern Warfare, and an adventure on an insanely epic scale that only Call of Duty could deliver.

Advanced Warfare took Call of Duty to different heights with its use of technology and all new weaponry. In the new trailer (which you can see below) Infinite War has plenty of the classic Call of Duty elements in its shooting and combat style and already clear and what will be strong and engaging characters that develop the narrative in typical fashion. Flying space crafts occupied in a battle around earth’s orbit on the other hand… That’s a little bit different! Take a look at the trailer…

What do you think of the new trailer? Are you excited or do you think Call of Duty need to go back to basics with their new games?

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare will be released globally on 4th November, with the possibility of getting the classic Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare in a bundle.
