As we all know, May 4th marks Star Wars day, in honour of the franchise we all love so much. All around the world people are literally celebrating Star Wars Day in one way or another, even if it is as simple tweet wishing people a happy Star Wars Day. What may have started off as a simple pun on a date, has turned into a bit of a phenomenon! There is one greeting however, that is probably a little more welcomed than the others. Today Daisy Ridley took to the internet to send a message to every Star Wars fan out there, with a little thank you from her and the Star Wars team that were on hand!
Among others, Daisy Ridley was joined by BB-8 and Admiral Ackbar as they took a break from filming Star Wars: Episode 8 to get in touch with the world about an opportunity for change. You may remember NerdBastards reporting on Poe Dameron himself, Oscar Isaac, talking about the Star Wars charity Force For Change and the opportunity to win fantastic Star Wars related prizes for donating. Well, this time Daisy Ridley was on hand to say thank you for all the money raised by people supporting the charity. There may be a (very) small cameo from John Boyega as well, regardless of how rigid and plastic his performance may be (BA DUM TISS.)
Today marked the end of the Force For Change charity matching dollar for dollar donations up to one million dollars. If you would like to support the charity, there will be more opportunities to win amazing prizes and help exceptionally good causes over at forceforchange.starwars.com.
Unfortunately Star Wars fans have to wait until 15th December 2017 for Episode Eight. Until then May the fourth… Sorry, may the force be with you… Always.
