Marvel directing duo Joe and Anthony Russo recently revealed that Avengers: Infinity War Part One and Part Two will have new names upon release (here’s hoping for Avengers: The Search For Deadpool). Today, however, something more was accidentally slipped. The Russo brothers told the world about a new character that audiences didn’t have a clue were involved in the Infinity War movies.
During a Q&A session, the brothers were detailing audiences at the Smithsonian about some of the characters that would appear in Infinity War, …. Drumroll…Captain Marvel’s name was accidentally dropped. The brothers Russo smoothly covered over the issue by saying,
“Captain Barvel. Totally different character.”
We all know the avenger Captain Barvel right? No, didn’t think so! It looks like Captain Marvel will be a feature of Avengers: Infinity War. If this is right, Captain Marvel could have a similar cameo in Infinity War that Tom Holland’s Spider-Man had in Captain America: Civil War. This is assumed as the Captain Marvel solo film is released between the two upcoming Infinity War films.
What seems like forever away will come around quicker than audiences realise! Avengers: Infinity War Part 1 is due for release on May 4th 2018 and Part 2 following on May 3rd 2019.
