The time is almost upon us for Star Wars Celebration, that time of year where all things Star Wars gather in one place for a weekend-long love-in for all things from a galaxy far, far away. It was at Star Wars Celebration last year that fans were given that wicked teaser of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, the first of what Disney and Lucasfilm hopes to be a long line of Star Wars spin-off films. It’s going to get full-court press at this year’s Celebration, and if you need any more proof, you need only look at the poster below. The key art for this year’s event that promises to celebrate all things new in the Star Wars Universe.
Of course, by “all things new” we don’t just limit that to Rogue One and its assorted Rebel and Imperial fighters. The below poster also celebrates the sequel trilogy, particularly the upcoming Star Wars Episode VIII by revealing the images of several characters from that movie too, including what could be the first official image of Daisey Ridley‘s Rey in full-on Jedi mode. I guess the lid is now fully off the mystery box for that one. Anyway, check out the Star Wars Celebration poster art below.
Star Wars Celebration takes place in London this year from July 15 to 17. The Rogue One panel will take happen on the 15th, and director Gareth Edwards and producer Kathleen Kennedy will be in attendance along with some surprise guests, each one more surprising than the last. Fans are also suspecting that the next trailer will be released at Celebration with a follow-on worldwide release on the web. Something similar happened last year with Star Wars: The Force Awakens. It’s a little over a month and a half now before the event and we can’t hardly wait for it to begin!
Rogue One: A Star Wars Story will be in theaters everywhere this coming December.
