After the MMO game’s billionaire creator abruptly dies, he offers players his fortune as the prize in an easter egg hunt within The Oasis, with the winner emerging to take control of the entire company. Along with gamers from around the world, Wade joins the adventure using the name Parzival, and finds himself up against powerful corporate foes and other ruthless competitors who will do anything in The Oasis, as well as the real world, to get their hands on the fortune.
