A new report claims Warner Bros. is considering four possible titles for their Justice League movie, which is currently in production. Earlier this year it was announced that production would take place on April 11th for the joining of the superheroes. Though Warner Bros. has been silent as to any confirmation that filming is taking place, the studio has its cast set at Pinewood Studios, located in the United Kingdom.
Some have speculated that the studio’s keeping hush because things are still in development… such as a title. It has pretty much been established that ‘Justice League: Part I’ was simply a working title. With the news today, we see that was the case.
In a podcast on Heroic Hollywood, EIC/Founder Umberto Gonzalez revealed the four potential names for the title:
- Justice League: United
- Justice League: Angels & Demons
- Justice League: Gods Among Us
- Justice League: Gods Among Men
Remember, this hasn’t been officially confirmed and Warner Bros. has not made an announcement confirming or denying the claim.
Gonzalez has also stated that the studio is trying to pin downs release dates for 4 upcoming superhero films. They are looking at October 2nd, 2020, April 16th, 2021, July 2nd, 2021 and November 5th, 2021 as possible dates. If these dates hold true, DC Films looks to be challenging Marvel in releasing three films in a single year.
Just prior to those dates, Warner Bros./DC Films has locked down April 3rd, 2020 for Cyborg’s standalone film and July 24th, 2020 as the Green Lantern Corps are introduced. That October 2nd, 2020 date they are eyeing could easily be the slot for Ben Affleck’s Batman reboot. Given that Warner Bros. CEO Kevin Tsujihara officially confirmed, during a CinemaCon panel, that the movie is happening within the next five years, Batfleck may wind up with any of those dates.
