The Walking Dead‘s Norman Reedus is no stranger to Marvel Comics roles, he’s voiced the Punisher in an animated movie (Iron Man: Rise of Technovore), and he blew up real good as the turncoat Scud in Blade II. He’s got his own motorcycle riding show about to premiere on AMC, Ride With Norman Reedus and when asked recently if he would be game to take on another Marvel role if Marvel came a knocking, Reedus said he was ready to ride.
UPROXX asked Reedus:
Would he be down to play Ghost Rider if Marvel came calling?
Reedus responded saying:
Hell yeah, (acknowledging that he also liked Nic Cage’s version.) It would be a blast. Do I get a skull face that’s on fire and all that stuff? Fuck yeah. I’m down.
What do you think, would Reedus make a good Johnny Blaze and Ghost Rider? He’s got the motorcycle riding chops for the role and would look good in the part, not to mention the built-in fan base he’d bring to the role that would fill theater seats or tune in television screens.
Ghost Rider is back in Marvel’s hands now, along with Blade and some others that might lead Marvel to consider a Midnight Son‘s style Netflix series. Doctor Strange will open the door to the mystic side of Marvel in November with Benedict Cumberbatch leading the way and it isn’t out of the realm of possibilities for Ghost Rider to make an appearance. Perhaps Johnny Blaze seeks out the help of Doctor Strange to get out of his soul selling contract?
