If you’ve made it this far, congratulations. And now to the meat of the story. According to the unconfirmed report, it seems that Mikkelsen will be playing the role of a character known as Kaecilius. This makes perfect sense, especially considering the description the name was found in,
“Marvel Minimates Series 70 Doctor Strange Movie 2-Pack Asst. A Diamond Select Toys Release! The next chapter of the Marvel Cinematic Universe is now the next entry in the long-running Marvel Minimates line! Series 70 of Marvel Minimates mini-figures travels to the world of the Doctor Strange movie, with four different two-packs: Dr. Strange with The Ancient One, Mordo with Kaecilius, the specialty-exclusive Stephen Strange with Christine Palmer and the specialty-exclusive Wong & Zealot! Each 2-inch Minimates mini-figure features 14 points of articulation and fully interchangeable parts. Each two-pack is packaged in a full-color window box.”
“He’s not a villain in that way – he’s a man who believes in something else than the hero. That doesn’t mean that he doesn’t want to make the planet look wonderful or he wants to save the world as well, but he has a different way of doing it. He is the antagonist, of course, but he’s not necessarily wrong.”
It seems like every villain feels the same way as Mikklesen’s – they’re all just trying their best to make the world a safer place for everyone. In any case, San Diego Comic Con is next month. Here’s hoping that fans will find some kind of confirmation as to who he finally is playing.
Doctor Strange hits theaters on November 4, 2016.
