‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ Adds Another Villain

Bokeem Woodbine

A new day, a new casting for Spider-Man: Homecoming. Now that production has begun for the film, we are finding all sorts of great news about who is joining the cast of the upcoming Sony/Marvel film. Barely a month into production and this has become the ultimate fan stunt-casting list. It’s getting to a point where we have to guess who isn’t in this film!  The film has a very strong and diverse cast of the many students who go to Peter Parker’s high school including Zendaya, Tony Revolori, Michael Barbieri, and Abraham Attah. We also know that there will also be some rogues in the film. Michael Keaton has been confirmed to play a villain (possibly The Vulture). In addition, actor Logan Marshall-Green has also been cast for an unspecified bad guy role (possibly The Tinkerer). Looks like we can add one more villain to the film.

Actor Bokeem Woodbine is reported to be in the superhero film. His role currently is unknown, but he has been confirmed to be playing a villain in the film. Woodbine recently played on FX’s Fargo where his performance as “Mike Milligan” earned critical praise as well as a Critics Choice nomination. While some fans are worrying about “villain fatigue” leftover from Sam Rami’s Spider-Man 3, others are saying to give this new film a chance. Woodbine’s character is also rumored to be partnered with Keaton’s character, so expect some double teaming against Spider-Man.

Spider-Man: Homecoming arrives in theaters July 7, 2017.
