Oh no! Did your car break down? Or are you just stuck? Or maybe you’re just looking for something fun to do. Well, there’s good news, as long as your in one of these major cities:  New York City, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Washington D.C., and Boston. The new Ghostbusters film and Lyft have teamed up for a special promotion that will provide rides in Ecto-1 this weekend (July 1 & 2) in one of the major cities listed above. Even if you’re not stuck, you might want to get out there and give it a try. It’s not everyday you can say you rode around in Ecto-1.

Here are the details for this weekend’s special Ghostbusters/Lyft promotion. Once again, the dates for the promotion will be July 1 and July 2 and will run from 10 AM – 8 PM local time. Of course, you’ll also need to download the Lyft app to your respected device. Once you’ve installed the application, simply switch the app into “ghost mode” and request your ride. While a few of the vehicles will be replicas, two of them were actually used during the filming of the movie.

Check out what Ethan Eyler, Innovation Brand Manager at Lyft had to say regarding the special promotion,

“We’re thrilled to see such a classic franchise return to theaters with an all-new cast and characters, and are equally as excited to team up with Sony Pictures to bring the movie to the streets. Lyft loves to surprise and delight passengers with fun, memorable in-car experiences. Following the success of Back to the Future Mode, Zombie Mode, and Prank Mode, we expect this to be the best yet.”

On a final note, those who do get to ride in Ecto-1 this weekend will be able to take away some swag from the experience. Some of that swag includes Ecto Cooler, Twinkies that contain a key lime flavored slime, and, lastly, every passenger will be entered into a contest to win two tickets to the world premiere in Los Angeles on July 9th.

And here’s a ridiculous promotional video for the event this weekened:
