Tom Felton is probably a name you’ll most likely recognize from the credits of the Harry Potter franchise. You know, the one who played sarcastic, yet misunderstood Draco Malfoy in the series. Tom has continued to move his acting career forward. The most recent news is that he’s set to join the cast of The CW’s, The Flash television series! It seems as though he’s dropped the magic of the wizarding world and moved on to the power of comic book heroes.
Tom is set to play a regular in the third season of the series. The role he is set to play is of a man named Julian Dorn who is part of the Central City Police Department as a crime scene investigator. His character may not seem like a recognizable one to most fans of the comics, but him being a regular means there is more to his character than we assume. Julian Dorn is said to believe that there is more than meets the eye about Barry Allen (The Flash), which, of course we all know is true. He isn’t just some ordinary guy. He’s the fastest man alive.
There isn’t much said about how the story will unfold for this season, as season 2 ended up completely different from what the comic books entail. In the comic book version, Barry ends up in an alternate timeline where his mother is still alive and he doesn’t even have any his powers. This proves to fans that things aren’t always strictly played out like the books, but rather more dramatic at times for the big screen.
We do know, that this season is supposed to follow the Flashpoint comic book series. We also know that Julian Dorn will be a fellow colleague of Barry’s and this should be a pretty exciting season for everyone, especially Tom Felton fans. This will be Felton’s biggest television part since Murder in the First, a crime drama, from 2014. The Flash, starring Grant Gustin, will premiere Season 3 on Tuesday, October 4, 2016 on the CW.
