When news broke that Iron Fist and the rest of the Defenders were coming to Netflix people got excited. However, at the same time, it sparked a lot of discussion and controversy regarding how the show cast a white lead over an Asian actor. For now, the controversy remains but the heat is no longer there. Since then the show has moved on and during tonight’s Marvel Television panel at San Diego Comic Con, audiences got their first look at the upcoming series. And now is your chance to see it as well.

Who exactly is Iron Fist? Over the years there have been many people to take on the mantle of Iron Fist. The latest to do so is Danny Rand (Finn Jones). In this iteration of the comic book hero, the audience will follow the story of Danny Rand who returns to New York after been missing since he was a child. Furthermore, “He fights against the criminal element corrupting New York City with his incredible kung-fu mastery and ability to summon the awesome power of the fiery Iron Fist.” Iron Fist was originally created and debuted in 1974. That’s when he first appeared in Marvel Premiere #15. He was created by Roy Thomas and Gil Kane.
