Before any thing else, take a look now if you haven’t seen the trailer yet. And don’t worry, Netflix released the real thing. So you don’t have to worry about shaky cam.
“After a sabotaged experiment leaves him with super strength and unbreakable skin, Luke Cage becomes a fugitive who attempts to rebuild his life in modern day Harlem, New York City. But soon he is pulled out of the shadows and must fight a battle for the heart of his city – forcing him to confront a past he had tried to bury.”
Audiences already got their first taste of Luke Cage in Jessica Jones. And compared to what the man does in this teaser, it was just a nibble. Luke Cage is no newbie when it comes to the super hero business. In fact, he came in during a really important and controversial time in comic book history in 1972. His creation even sparked some criticism in regards to how he promoted racial stereotypes. While he’s grown in some popularity, he still remained in the background among many other heroes. Hopefully, all that changes with this new series.
Luke Cage premieres on Netflix on September 30th.
