Stan Lee. Not only is he one of, if not the most, influential all fathers of comic books, he’s also one of the great orators of our time. This is a man who was once asked if digital comics would replace actual comics and famously said “Comics are like boobs. They look great on a computer, but I’d rather hold one in my hand”. He speaks. We listen.
In a moment that is clearly being blown out of proportions, at the premier for Suicide Squad, director David Ayer said “F*ck Marvel!” while responding to a fan that said that same thing. David Ayer quickly took to Twitter to apologize, saying that he got caught up in the moment. Ayer was just a guy pumping up the building and confident in his movie. Despite the apology, the outburst triggered fans. Hard.
The great Stan Lee has responded to the remarks by David Ayer, settling the matter indefinitely.

Boom! Drop the Mic.
This perspective was also echoed by Marvel Entertainment CCO Joe Quesada, who said:
Hey Marvel faithful I know you’re upset but cut @DavidAyerMovies a break, it was all in good fun. Can’t wait to see SS, best of luck David!

You see that – the distinguished competition treating each other distinguishably. Class. These guys have it.
Of course, this is all well and good… until Kevin Feige yells “F*** DC!” at the Doctor Strange premiere in November.
