The latest on set photos coming out of Sony and Marvel‘s Spider-Man: Homecoming reveals a first look at Bokeem Woodbine in costume as Shocker. Or is it? As of this moment, we really don’t know who is under that mask, it could be Woodbine, who is playing Herman Schultz, aka the Shocker, but it could be a stunt or body double. At this point though, who cares? Just look at that suit!
Created by Stan Lee and John Romita Sr., the Shocker made his debut in The Amazing Spider-Man #46 pictured below.
How does the comic book Shocker suit translate onto the big screen? Check out the on set pictures below.
Now that is a pretty good translation, note the “quilted” shirt under the jacket. This could also just be a start-up suit for the Shocker. The Tinkerer is rumored to be a villain in Spider-Man: Homecoming and he is the one who fixes up/powers up super villain costumes. He might take the Shocker’s costume to the next level and make take it full comic book version.
What do you think of the costume?
