Thus far, everything that the Power Rangers movie has done for promotion has worked wonderfully. The last big piece of news regarding the movie was the casting of Bryan Cranston as their mentor, Zordon. At San Diego Comic Con, fans were treated with up-close samples of their helmets and power coins. Before that were action shots of Rita (Elizabeth Banks) and Trini (Becky G), as well as all five of them in their Power Ranger suits. And now, earlier today, posters were revealed which featured each Ranger on top of their Zords, something that many people were wondering would look like. Check them out after the jump.
For reference, the Red Ranger (Dacre Montgomery) stands on his T-Rex, the Black Ranger (Ludi Lin) with his Mastodon, the Blue Ranger (RJ Cyler) poses with his Triceratops, the Yellow Ranger looks on with her Saber-toothed Tiger, and the Pink Ranger (Naomi Scott) has a new best friend in her Pterodactyl.
According to reports, the release of these new posters is in preparation for the Power Rangers movie panel at New York Comic Con on October 8. Hopefully, there will finally be a clip or some kind of teaser trailer that the public can view. For now, these posters will be just fine as they answer a lot of questions and concerns fans have had for a while.
They’re only a partial view of the big picture, but from what can be seen, these are definitely a step up from the 90’s television show that many of you watched as children. The Power Rangers movie is scheduled to hit theaters on March 24, 2017.
