Earlier today, IMAX dropped a beautiful poster into the laps of Doctor Strange fans around the world. Soon after they also dropped a one minute long trailer that has some familiar scenes as well as some new ones that are sure to get you even more excited for the Sorcerer Supreme. Some of the new scenes include an Avengers name drop and the first time anyone in the movie has addressed Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) as himself. So get yourself ready and check out the new trailer after the jump.

Here it is in all it’s glory:

The trailer begins with a very familiar scene inside of Strange’s apartment overlooking the New York skyline. This time, however, audiences get a small, but new, glimpse into this “material” world as a drawer of watches (most likely very expensive) is pulled out with each one in it’s own spinning display. Talk about unnecessary, who needs one of these things? Fans also got a taste of some of some news runes that will be featured in the movie. These runes were created specifically to give the idea of magic a more physical form; something more visual that the audience can look at while it’s being used besides just the end result.

For those of you who don’t know, that’s Wong (Benedict Wong) who is name dropping the Avengers. He reminds Strange that they protect the people from the physical dangers thrown at them while he’s there to safeguard them from the more mystical. Finally, something that no one has definitely seen, is Doctor Strange interacting with the villain of the movie played by Mads Mikkelson. Its a simple play on words, but fun and sets a tone for the film.
