The sixth and final movie in the Resident Evil film series is but a few months away from its release early next year. Since 2002, Alice (Milla Jovovich) has been fighting the Umbrella Corporation and the zombies (and other monsters) they have created. Grossing more than $915 million over the past 5 films, the zombie apocalypse series based on the popular video games is coming to a close in Resident Evil: The Final Chapter, with Alice and the last bit of humanity trying to make a stand.
The trailer for the upcoming film was released at New York Comic Con today. Take a look.
As always, it shows Alice being a badass taking out Umbrella operatives as well as countless zombies, and even some of their BOWs throughout the trailer. It looks like the film will also try to tie up all loose ends as we are heading back to Raccoon City to try to take on The Hive and The Red Queen back where it all began. Surprisingly (but not surprisingly) Dr. Isaacs (Iain Glen) and Albert Wesker (Shawn Roberts) return for their villainous roles, even though their characters have been killed in previous Resident Evil films. Ali Larter also reprises her role of popular video game character Claire Redfield as well for the final film. Being the final film in the franchise, let’s hope this goes out with a bang!
