With The Walking Dead season 7 premiere upon us, AMC has some special tricks up their sleeve’s. Well actually it’s a pretty straightforward offer, but, oh so generous. While many of us are grinding our teeth waiting for the answer to the season 6 cliffhanger finale, others are bashing their brains out wishing they were all caught up. Well, have no fear. AMC has your solution.
The network has announced an 88-hour marathon to air in the less than two weeks leading up to the season 7 premiere. Don’t get your Mountain Dew and adult diapers out just yet though. The 88-hour marathon will not all come in one crossbow to the forehead shot. The marathon will start this Sunday October 16 at 7 AM, starting with all of Season 1 and the first half of season 2, followed up with a two-hour retrospective immediately after. Phase two of this brain-eating extravaganza resumes each night at 6 PM for the rest of the week, with the season 6 finale airing right before the season 7 premiere on Sunday October 23 at 9/8c. That’s a measly 83 episodes and some extended episodes to boot! Okay, maybe don’t put away the Mountain Dew and diapers. You made need them.
The marathon is all part of AMC’s annual FearFest. Starting from October 13 and going through October 31, the network will air classic horror films such as, Carrie, Halloween, A Nightmare on Elm Street, Friday the 13th, and many, many more. You can get the full schedule on the official AMC website.
So go forth Walking Dead fans, and watch! Watch until you become the mirror image of those Zombies you love seeing splattered all over your screen on a weekly basis.
