Ryan Reynolds has teamed back up with Safe House director Daniel Espinosa in a new sci-fi thriller Life. Reynolds is joined by an impressive cast that includes Jake Gyllenhaal, Rebecca Ferguson, Olga Dihovichnaya, Ariyon Bakare, and Hiroyuki Sanada. The latest trailer sets the stage on the International Space Station where alien life has been brought back from Mars. Nothing could go wrong with that could it…?
Life tells the story of the six-member crew of the International Space Station that is on the cutting edge of one of the most important discoveries in human history: the first evidence of extraterrestrial life on Mars. As the crew begins to conduct research, their methods end up having unintended consequences and the life form proves more intelligent than anyone ever expected.
Here’s the trailer:
That looks like a fun movie, The Thing in space. We haven’t seen much from this movie so far besides the trailer. The Facebook page for the movie was only created last night. Perhaps Ryan Reynolds will be a bit more forthcoming in his social media about the film now that the first trailer is out.
It does seem strange that there has been no social media marketing on this film before now. Reynolds and Gyllenhaal are both hot commodities in Hollywood and considering Reynolds’ Social Media Mania and success promoting Deadpool, why wouldn’t the producers tap that audience?
This trailer alone would put this NerdBastard in a theater seat, perhaps they’re counting on that to be enough.
