The trio that made up the “build team” on the hit show, Mythbusters, are getting their own Netflix show. About 2 years ago, the team which, consisted of Grant Imahara, Kari Byron, and Tori Belleci, suddenly and unexpectedly announced that they would be leaving the show. Little did anyone know that Mythbusters would only be around for one more season following their departure. Now the quirky build team will make a triumphant return with their own show.
Netflix has revealed the White Rabbit Project trailer for their new science series from the producers of MythBusters, which will debut all episodes on the streaming service December 9.
Imahara, Byron, and Belleci, who were also producers on Mythbusters, look to be continuing the theme of their previous show by engaging in experiments that cover a wide variety of quasi-scientific topics.
In White Rabbit Project, Kari Byron, Tory Belleci and Grant Imahara head down the rabbit hole to investigate weird and wonderful events from pop culture, science, and history. Under their microscope are topics as diverse as jailbreaks, superpower technology, heists and crazy world war two weapons. In each episode, the hosts immerse themselves in experiments, builds and tests as they sleuth the truth behind these and other well-googled themes.
This description of the White Rabbit Project and the trailer looks very similar to that of Mythbusters. The difference being, this looks more fun and a little more visually polished. Little sad not seeing Adam and Jamie around but this will definitely fill the void Mythbusters left since it went off the air. A worthy spiritual successor.
The White Rabbit Project will be available from Netflix on December 9th.
