Earlier, a report from The Wrap surfaced saying that Ryan Reynolds would be making a cameo in the upcoming film, Logan. Sadly, as cool as it would be to see Deadpool and Wolvering interact with each other on the big screen, it will not be happening anytime soon. Shortly after the report came out, Logan star, Hugh Jackman, director James Mangold, and Reynolds took to Twitter to shoot down the news.

Here’s how Reynolds responded to the news:

IN case some of you didn’t get the joke, Prisoner 24601 is referring to the number given to the character Jackman played in Les Miserables, Jean Valjean. Out of the three, Reynolds is the one most excited about the idea of Deadpool and Wolverine. It makes sense considering how passionate Reynolds is about the character. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, he referred to Jackman as “… one of the best human beings.” He added, “Part of the reason I want to do a Deadpool/Wolverine movie is not just because I think the two would light the screen on fire but I genuinely love the guy.”

Mangold seemed to be the most direct with his response by saying:

However he meant it, seeing him use the word fake seems rather harsh, but it looks like Mangold is strongly denying the story. As for Jackman, he simply replied:

Good enough. Logan is set to debut in theaters on March 3, 2017.
