For the last couple of weeks now, Mark Hamill has been enjoying giving his old Joker voice some exercise by imbuing the tweets of the new President of the United States with a decidedly different clown vibe. Given that these stories frequently make our trending post list to the right, we can see that you’ve been enjoying them too, so in that spirit, another DC Animated Universe actor has gotten in on the fun because every Joker needs a Harley Quinn. If you saw yesterday’s Meet the Press, then you know where this is going…
“Alternative facts.” That was the trending term yesterday. It was uttered by White House counsel Kellyanne Conway to Meet the Press host Chuck Todd as he was pressing Conway about press secretary Sean Spicer‘s far-from-factual interpretation of the attendance at Donald Trump’s inauguration. “Don’t be so overly dramatic about it, Chuck,” Conway told Todd. “What– You’re saying it’s a falsehood. And they’re giving Sean Spicer, our press secretary, gave alternative facts to that.”
A lot people heard that Sunday morning, and after confirming that they did indeed hear a senior staffer at the White House use the words “alternative facts,” and laughing out of a mix of disbelief and grave concern, took to Twitter to enjoy the moment collectively. One of those people was Tara Strong, the voice actress who has portrayed Harley Quinn in numerous video games, TV show and movies. Much like Hamill’s Joker, Strong’s Harley seems to have found a new muse in the White House.

So who’s next? Richard Moll quoting Sean Spicer as Two-Face? David Warner using Ra’s al Ghul for Steve Bannon? Maybe Aron Kincaid could give Rick Perry the Killer Croc treatment? I guess we’ve got four years to see how it all shakes out.
