Rumours about what fans can expect from the future of Deadpool have been flying since the first movie ended and the post-credits scene saw Ryan Reynolds‘s masked antihero profess his hopes to star alongside Cable in the next movie, should one be commissioned. People have been talking about Domino making an appearance since early last year, with the rumours seemingly confirmed later on in 2016 and casting coming to a head just this month. A lot of names have been considered for the part, with the six people originally considered last year now no longer involved in the project.
Though there was still amount of misdirection floating around as recently as yesterday, Ryan Reynolds quieted the rumours with a single Tweet:

The Tweet directly name-drops Zazie Beetz, known for her role in Atlanta alongside Donald Glover, effectively confirming that she will be taking on the role of Domino in the new movie.
While this still leaves a lot to talk about in terms of what to expet from the movie, it does give fans a new foundation on which to anchor their ideas and predictions.
Offering further opportunity to envision just what this might mean for the character – and, by extension, the movie – artist Boss Logic also took to Twitter to show off some reworking Domino artwork, complete with Beetz’s likeness factored into the picture.

As well as Domino, it has been confirmed that the new movie will officially introduce Cable, in a script penned by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, directed by David Leitch. The movie is currently in pre-production and, at such an early stage, does not yet have a release date.
