Yesterday, we told you about an announcement concerning Star Wars and its 40th anniversary on this morning’s Good Morning America, and as it was written, so it was done. The announcement? Well, it had nothing to do with Star Wars: The Last Jedi or a trailer for said movie. Once your anger abates, you should continue reading to find out what the announcement was because it is actually pretty sweet. Would you like the chance to win the ultimate Star Wars vacation package? You really should because it’s pretty sweet, and all it will cost you is a donation to charity.
As posted on Omaze following the live TV announcement, the latest Force for Change campaign to support Support UNICEF and Starlight Children’s Foundation will give you the chance to win a package that includes a night at Skywalker Ranch, a set visit to the Han Solo movie set and a chance to appear in the film, and a walk down the red carpet with the cast at the premiere of The Last Jedi. Of course, flights (preferably not on United) and four-star accommodations for the winners and their guests will also be provided.
To enter, you just have to donate to the cause. Each donation is a new entry to the contest, and you can make any donation you wish between $10 and whatever. Of course, every donation level has its own component prize, from the simple, like an iron on BB-8 patch, to the spectacular, like a private screening of The Last Jedi in your town. There are also t-shirts, mini-busts, signed prints, postcards, vintage posters and other Star Wars bric-à-brac. Seriously, why are you still reading this article and not over at Omaze and donating your brains out. You got 30 days.
And remember, the Force will always be with you, but why not buttress that with some good karma from being charitable?
