With less than 17 days, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 will hit theaters. The sequel to the 2014 Marvel Cinematic Universe surprise hit is expected to make a killing it’s opening weekend (minimum $150 million are some projections) and pretty much kickstarts the summer movie season. One very interesting thing about the movie is that James Gunn and the production crew have managed to keep most of the plot well hidden as most of the trailers did not give away “the whole” plot. We know a few details here and there for the film: Ego The Living Planet (Kurt Russell), Ayesha (Elizabeth Debicki) and The Ravagers will be in the film. But other than that, it’s an open book. There were rumors that Sylvester Stallone will be in the film in an unspecified role. Some suspected he would be an extra Ravager, and other rumors had him playing a member of the Guardians of the Galaxy from the 31st Century (probably Vance Astro). It looks like we now know who he may possibly be.
Some fans managed to see Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 tonight ahead of its premiere next month via special screenings across the country. As a result, the production notes were available for those audiences to see during the screening. Thanks to Twitter user @StitchKingdom, we now know who Stallone is possible playing: SPOILERS…….

Comic fans know the name Stakar as Starhawk who was a member of the “Original” Guardians of the Galaxy, the Guardians from the 31st century who existed in the comics since the 1970s. It is unknown right now is Stallone’s character will be the same as his character from the comics, or if he will be reimagined like Yondu (as he was also one of the 31st Century Guardians in the comics) to be a regular Ravager. If this is the case, he probably will not be “The One Who Knows.” The film promises to explore the Ravager culture in greater detail than the previous film, so it should be exciting!
