With the countdown to the film’s release on now (and the marketing finally starting to pick up the pace,) star Gal Gadot premiered the final trailer for Wonder Woman at the MTV Movie and TV Awards tonight. Will the next film in the DC Extended Universe be the godsend the Warner Bros./DC Films franchises are hoping for? Can the first female lead superhero movie live up to the hype and do the Themysciran princess justice? Well, a smart person would wait to make an informed decision by watching the movie first, but for that you have to wait till June 2nd.
Anyway, here’s that final trailer:
Before she was Wonder Woman, she was Diana, princess of the Amazons, trained to be an unconquerable warrior. Raised on a sheltered island paradise, when an American pilot crashes on their shores and tells of a massive conflict raging in the outside world, Diana leaves her home, convinced she can stop the threat. Fighting alongside man in a war to end all wars, Diana will discover her full powers…and her true destiny.
Directed by Patty Jenkins, the film stars Gal Gadot as Diana Prince/Wonder Woman, Chris Pine as Steve Trevor, Lucy Davis as Etta Candy, Connie Nielsen as Queen Hippolyta, Robin Wright as General Antiope, Danny Huston as General Erich Ludendorff, and David Thewlis as Ares.
Wonder Woman hits theatres on June 2nd, 2017.
