A wise man once said that for everything in life there is a perfect form of it somewhere in the universe, and if there is a perfect form of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, it would likely be the Murakami-Wolf-Swenson animated series from 1987. It took the Turtles from an underground independent comic to being one of the most profitable I.P.s with an expansive empire of merchandise to their name. So let’s add more! If you are in a nostalgic mood, or merely love awesome looking toys and collectibles, you will definitely want to take note of these items available next month at San Diego Comic Con.
Below is an exciting look at NECA‘s new limited edition line of figures based on the ’87 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles animated series. Painstakingly replicated from the show, you’ve for the four Turtles: Leonardo, Donatello, Michelangelo and Raphael, plus their adversaries Shredder, Krang, and two members of the Foot Clan. They also come with a wide variety of accessories, which will let you put together your figures in multiple, almost infinite, combinations. Hey, look, they even have the little Turtle communicators, and a little plastic pizza of course. You can’t sent your Ninja Turtle figures out into the world without a little plastic pizza, can you?
Word to the wise, if this item just made your to-buy list at Comic Con next month, then you should be aware that there’s only going to be about 5,000 of them available. They will cost about $200 USD per set, but honestly, can you put a price on quality like this? Hardly.
San Diego Comic Con begins on July 20 this year.
