So you’re the Merc with the Mouth, you’re in town to shoot the sequel to your highly popular movie, what’s the first stop you’re going to make? To the X-Mansion, of course! Sadly for Deadpool though, it looks like nobody’s home. Perhaps they’re busy with the Dark Phoenix. Perhaps his friends Colossus and Negasonic Teenage Warhead are out for breakfast, for it is the most important meal of the day as observed by the big metal man from Russia. Either way, it looks like Deadpool’s going to have to play solo for the first couple of days of shooting on Deadpool 2.
Dropped by the X-Mansion. Big fucking surprise. No one's home. pic.twitter.com/svbUMEdKbb

Ryan Reynolds stopped by Hatley Castle, the real-life stand-in for the X-Mansion in Vancouver, to announce the beginning of principal photography of Deadpool 2, the sequel to the 2016 smash hit Deadpool from John Wick co-director John Leitch. In the film, Reynolds will be re-teaming with Stefan Kapicic as the voice of Colossus and Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead for a brand new, action-packed, swear-filled, ultra-violent adventure. Josh Brolin and Zazie Beetz will be joining the cast as X-Force members Cable and Domino, teaming up with ‘Pool to take on Jack Kesy as the new villain, likely Black Tom Cassidy.
So with Deadpool 2 now shooting, it shouldn’t be too long before we start seeing photo leaks from around Vancouver of Deadpool and friends on the scene, doing action sequences and other spoiler-y stuff. Behind the scenes, it will be interesting to see if 20th Century Fox puts a rush on getting footage together in time for Comic Con, which starts one month from tomorrow in San Diego. It’s a tough crunch, but not impossible, and was done as recently as last year with Spider-Man: Homecoming, Thor: Ragnarok, and Justice League.
Deadpool 2 will be in theatres everywhere on June 1, 2018.
