Jumanji: Welcome To The Jungle, the sequel to Robin Willams hit Jumanji will be coming to theater screens this December 20th and Jack Black is certain that while fans won’t see Williams on-screen, they will feel Williams’ presence in the film. While talking with THR Black had this to say:
We’re exploring this jungle and trying to conquer the game; it’s life or death. But while we’re there, we find clues left behind by [Williams’ character Alan Parrish]. He built up a full-blown jungle house, similar to a Swiss Family Robinson situation. It’s like he’s there helping us without actually being there.
That will be an interesting way to tell more of Alan’s story of his time in the jungle.
[In the original] you never got to see the inside world. But this one takes place primarily inside the jungle of Jumanji. That’s the coolest part of the film — we’re able to transport the audience to that secret and wondrous land, with the danger and the beauty.
What do you think? Finding things Alan built or left in the Jumanji Jungle is much better than some computer generated cameo at this stage. Perhaps there are some stories to tell in what the new group finds as they try to survive.
